We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cook / Chef to join our small, dedicated team at Sumba Paradise Beach Resort – Paradise Kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with us as our resort expands, with plans to add more restaurants and increase our guest capacity to over 150 beds. Currently, we serve 10-20 guests, but we anticipate a more dynamic environment in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for lunch and dinner services, following provided recipes.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and punctuality in the kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service.
- Ensure consistency in food presentation and quality according to resort standards.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a busy à la carte setting, cruise ships, or hotel chains is preferred. Experience in high-standard kitchens is valued for their emphasis on punctuality and tidiness.
- Language: Basic proficiency in English is required.
- Skills: Knowledge of Western cuisine is preferred, though not essential, as training will be provided.
- Attributes: Responsible, tidy, and reliable, with a commitment to professionalism.
